Mi Vida Loca Episode 8: Un billete de ida

Episode 8: Un billete de ida
Numbers 16-99, buying travel tickets, para.

Game: Lotería

I have a Bingo game included for this episode in my Mi Vida Loca Activity Pack, but you could easily make one using my free printable here. I like to dictate the numbers in Spanish while the students write the numerals in randomly.

Game: Diez

(I’m not sure of the origins of this game, but I have seen a version of it on the FLTEACH Listserv.)

To play, have students sit or stand in a circle. The group will count to 100, going around the around and taking turns saying the numbers. The goal of the game is to stay in the circle, to 100, without getting out. If it’s your turn and you have to say a 10’s number, you are out. The trick is that students can choose to say one, two, or three numbers. If the person before ended on seis, they could say siete, or siete-ocho, or siete-ocho-nueve as part of their turn to try to get the next person out. The last student standing wins.

Por vs. para

The entire packet is for sale here, and makes for great homework, over-the-summer review, or in-class viewing to keep the series interactive for everyone. Activity sheets for Episodes 1-5 are available for free, so you can get a good idea of what is in it. I’d appreciate some feedback love if you enjoyed it!
