This unit teaches numbers 0-15, going to bed vocabulary, and review terms from Units 1-3. 

HELPFUL PHRASES FOR PARENTS

If you are practicing at home with your kids, these videos teach some common phrases to help you get going and reinforce what they are learning in class.

When you are comfortable with these phrases, you can try speak as much Spanish as possible, while learning together.

LOS NÚMEROS

Learn the numbers 0-15. Try to listen closely and repeat the phrases after hearing them. 

BUENAS NOCHES

Learn some words to talk about going to bed (and so you can sing along to the song Five Little Monkeys in Spanish!)

LOS ANIMALES DUERMEN

Learn about animals that sleep during the day, and those that sleep at night. 

noche – night
día – day

LOS ANIMALES EN EL FRÍO

Learn about animals that sleep during the winter and wake up when it’s spring. 

  • frío – cold
    calor – hot/heat
    duerme – sleeps
    se despierta – wakes up

PABLITO NO DUERME

It’s time for Pablo to go to bed, but he needs a few things before he can go to sleep. 

  • la cama – bed
  • va a – goes to
  • le da – gives to him or her

LOS POLLITOS Y SU MAMÁ

Mama hen has three newly hatched chicks and needs to teach them all about being chickens.

LA MAÑANA EN LA GRANJA

Say good morning to all the animals on the farm, and try to guess who is waking up next!
