Birthday: June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina

Family: Messi is married to Antonela Roccuzzo and they have have three children: Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro. 

Childhood: Messi played soccer from childhood. His first official team was Newell’s Old Boys.

Health Issues: He suffered from a hormone deficiency and had to receive expensive injections to help him grow. (He is now 5′ 7″.)
